New York, New York, the city so nice, we’re writing about its tourist attractions twice!  There are so many iconic sights to see in the city that one post about its famous tourist spots would simply not suffice!  Here is our second installment of Tourist Attractions in NYC.

The Statue of Liberty

In a city of museums, parks and cultural centers, New Yorkers are no strangers to statues.  But out of all of the statues in the city, and probably in the country, Lady Liberty takes the cake.  If you’re looking for a great view, catch a ride on a Seastreak sightseeing cruise.  She happens to stand right next to the second tourist attraction on the list!

Ellis Island

America could not be the melting pot it is today without Ellis Island.  This historic site acted as a gateway to a new life for many of the immigrants which Americans have descended from.  Find out more about the immigrant way of life at the Ellis Island Museum.

Both the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island are due to reopen in early July.

Times Square

Walking into Times Square with its 50ft flashing signs and abundant foot traffic, is like walking into the future.  The giant commercial hub that intersects 7th and Broadway is also home to the famous glittering ball which drops every New Year.

5th Avenue

If you like to shop, then 5th Avenue is the place for you.  From Armani to Versace, this street is lined with some of the most prestigious stores in the world.  If the items prove to be a little too rich for your blood, take a stroll during the holiday season.  5th Avenue boasts some of the most magnificent window displays in New York.

If you’re looking for a relaxing way into the city to see all of the sights, take Seastreak into the city.  Our comfortable seats have plenty of legroom, and bag room if you decide to do a little shopping on 5th Avenue!

What’s your favorite spot in the city?  Is it always full of tourists, or is it a hidden gem tucked away on a side street?  Tell us on Facebook, or tweet to us @SeastreakFerry!

Sea you soon,

The Seastreak Family
