The words “flea market” may conjure up notions of old dirty stuff worn and sold by grandmas that have no relevance or place in your modern life. We are here to debunk that myth and let you in on a little secret – quality flea markets are NYC’s biggest not-so-secretive secret.

It’s not surprising to hear that a girl scored a vintage dress for $10, or that someone found the “perfect” antique side table for their new apartment. Patience is key when you do more sifting than shopping, but the payoff (a one of kind necklace?!) is worth it.

Artists and Fleas

With locations in Chelsea and Brooklyn, shop for yourself, your home or even your bike with tons of vendors selling unique and sometimes handmade items. You can pick up jewelry and actually meet the designer behind it – a personal touch retail stores just can’t give you.

Williamsburg Flea

Scour one of the city’s hottest warm-weather destinations. When it’s hot out in summer, shop for bargains on the waterfront in Williamsburg with a million dollar view of Manhattan. Trash and treasure are indistinguishable on rickety table tops and tarnished racks. The best part? You’ll be able to fuel your energy with a great selection of food vendors that cater to every cuisine.

Brooklyn Flea

Outdoors when the weather’s nice, and indoors all winter long, the Brooklyn Flea is the perfect mix of food, vintage and fun! With over 60 food vendors and 100 products, you can easily waste a Saturday away perusing the booths. You’ll catch food like seafood, sweets, hot dogs, tacos, Asian food, and even hip and healthy juices. Handmade items like shoes, jewelry and clothing make an appearance, as do reworked furniture.

The Antiques Garage

Housed in an actual parking garage, the seemingly sketchy flea market is actually a treasure trove for eclectic antiques spanning artwork, vintage clothing, and silver.
