• Battery Maritime Building Slip 5 is easily accessible by public transport, via the 1 and R trains at South Ferry between Whitehall and South Streets, the 4 & 5 trains at Bowling Green, the 2 & 3 trains available between Pine and William Streets, and the J & Z trains between Broad Street and Exchange Place.

Parking

• Limited street parking is available within walking distance of the terminal. Seastreak does not have a dedicated parking lot at this location.

LOGISTICS

• The New Bedford terminal is located across the street from a bustling and revitalized downtown with lots of great restaurants and shops for exploring. The terminal is also adjacent to the docks where some of the freshest seafood in America comes into port.

Directions

From Boston and all points North

• Take I-93 South. Highway forks; stay right. (Note: highway sign reads: “93 South, Dedham-Providence.”)
• Take Exit 4: Route 24 South. (Note: This is a left lane exit) Distance to next exit 24 Miles.
• Take Exit 17: Route 140 South/County St. Distance to next exit 19 miles.
• Take Exit 2A: I-195 East towards Cape Cod. Distance to next exit 1.3 miles.
• Take Exit 26: Route 18 South/Downtown New Bedford.
• Take the first left onto Elm Street, then follow the terminal and parking signs.
• Once on the State Pier, bear to your left and proceed up the ramp to the New Bedford Ferry Terminal. The ticket facility is located inside this terminal building.

From New York and all points South

• Take I-95 North.
• Take Exit 36 A: I-195 East towards East Providence/Cape Cod.
• Take Exit 26: Route 18 South/Downtown New Bedford.
• Take the first left onto Elm Street, then follow the terminal and parking signs.
• Once on the State Pier, bear to your left and proceed up the ramp to the New Bedford Ferry Terminal. The ticket facility is located inside this terminal building.

From Connecticut

• Take I-95 towards I-195.
• Take Exit 36 A: I-195 East towards East Providence/Cape Cod.
• Take Exit 26: Route 18 South/Downtown New Bedford.
• Take the first left onto Elm Street, then follow the terminal and parking signs.
• Once on the State Pier, bear to your left and proceed up the ramp to the New Bedford Ferry Terminal. The ticket facility is located inside this terminal building.

From Cape Cod

• Take Route 6 West.
• Take Route 25 West.
• Take Exit 1: I-195 West.
• Take Exit 26: Route 18 South/Downtown New Bedford.

• Once on the State Pier, bear to your left and proceed up the ramp to the New Bedford Ferry Terminal. The ticket facility is located inside this terminal building.

• Enterprise Car Rental – Service is available from the New Bedford Ferry Terminal. Arrangements can be made through Enterprise to drop off or pick-up a car directly at the New Bedford Terminal. For more information, please call Enterprise’s New Bedford Ashley Blvd. location at 508-995-1132. You may also make online reservations with Enterprise.
• Enterprise Rent A Car is Seastreak’s preferred provider for rental vehicles. Whether you need a car, truck, or van we are your total transportation solution. Just walking down Main Street gives one a stroll into the past, with great shopping and eating thrown in for good measure. For architecture buffs one is dazzled by the Colonial and Victorian architectural styles in this beautifully preserved 19th-century village. Take a walk down any side street and you will be even more dazzled by all the little gardens and architectural details of the old homes that make up the village.

Cold Spring’s Main Street is a unique collection of stores that slope down to the east bank of the Hudson. Stores include antique shops, coffee houses, restaurants with outdoor dining, and river’s edge park areas with a Gazebo & benches overlooking the Hudson.
