Even if you always seemed to find yourself standing up at the end of the music, this is a game of Musical Chairs you’ll be able to enjoy. Grab a loved one, a blanket, and a spot on the lawn on July 13th from 7:30 to 11 pm at West 45th or 46th streets between 9th and 10th Ave. This version of Musical Chairs is an outdoor movie in the park.

Support Your Fellow Americans
Musical Chairs here, is not just a game, but an actual film! And in collaboration with the ReelAbilities: NY Disabilities Film Festival, you can help celebrate 25 years of the Americans with Disabilities Act by catching it in Mathew Palmer Park. You may even recognize some Hell’s Kitchen natives in the film!

Love Is In The Air
Musical Chairs will bring you on an emotional roller coaster, as two young New York natives — Armando from the Bronx and Mia from the East Side — are brought together through a common love of dancing. But the question becomes: will Armando remain faithful when tragedy changes Mia’s world forever?

HBO Bryant Park’s Summer Film Festival is also well underway. If a love story is not to your taste, this may be more to your liking: let Mae West and Cary Grant bring you back to the golden age of cinema and one of film’s greatest comedy/musicals with I’m No Angel — find it behind the NY Public Library between 40th and 42nd Streets & Fifth and Sixth Avenues. The lawn opens at 5 pm on July 13th, so you can enjoy the park and still have plenty of time to start the film at sundown, around 8pm.

Even if a different film is more to your taste, both of these festivals go on into August! Regardless of when you do it, there’s always luxury, love, and laughter to be found in New York, and it all begins with pampering yourself with a relaxing boat ride across the bay on the Seastreak ferry.

Sea you soon!
