Monmouth Beach – an amazing hidden gem – is a tiny beach town quietly nestled between Sea Bright and Long Branch. Although small, it has a lot of heart and strength, which was made apparent by its response and resilience to Hurricane Sandy. Following the storm, many were unsure of what would happen to some of Monmouth Beach’s most visited shops and restaurants. Luckily, many of the stores were able to rebuild, and are now back and better than ever! Here are a few of our favorite businesses in Monmouth Beach, which have made a drastic recovery since the dark days of Sandy.

Booskerdoo is a relative newcomer to Monmouth Beach. Arriving shortly before Sandy struck, this organic coffee shop made a name for itself by selling delicious coffee. It also provided coffee to those in Monmouth Beach affected by the storm. They offer unique signature blends, and even have a coffee of the month subscription club!

Michael Angelo’s has always been a town favorite, and it might become your favorite too! With a sit-down dining room serving traditional Italian cuisine and an attached pizza parlor, this is the place to go no matter your mood! It’s a local hangout for Monmouth Beach kids because of their delicious pizza by the slice and phenomenal deli.

My Kitchen Witch is a dine-in cafe, and catering company. They close up shop pretty early because of their catering business, but their brunch items are not to be missed. They have the fluffiest scrambled eggs this side of the Atlantic! Attached to the cafe is a juice bar, serving up freshly squeezed juices to jump start your morning.
