Hanging on the west side of Manhattan, the Museum of Modern Art is an iconic destination full of white walls splashed with colorful paintings, inventions and exhibits. Consisting of over 4 floors plus an outdoor garden/seating area, MOMA keeps people coming back again and again.

MOMA

The top floor is home to their most timely exhibitions. One of several available now is the installation of 150 sculptures by German artist Isa Genzken and funded by fashion powerhouse Celine.  Of course, any fashionista who recognizes the utter chicness of Celine’s designer Phoebe would know this must be worthy of your time.

Playing through this February is the film installation “Ten Thousand Waves”.  Taking place in China, it is projected on nine screens, and includes “music and sounds that fuse Eastern and Western traditions.”

You might also want to check out the MOMA gift shop which is breathtaking and filled to the brim with inspiration in the form of gadgets, books and nifty home objects.
