It’s basically a requirement to go to Madame Tussaud’s at least once if you live in the tri-state area. Locals wax-poetic about this world-famous wax museum full of all your favorite stars that is both a tourist destination and a Times Square landmark. Over 500 million and counting people have visited Madame Tussaud’s and truthfully it’s hard not to walk through Times Square and peek into the windows because there’s always something going on. It’s accessibility, location and fun factor make it a perfect family outing any day, especially since they’re open 365 days a year!
Madame Tussauds 2

With over 220 wax figures, the whole family is bound to encounter an idol or two. Don’t forget your camera, because this trip will be one for the photo album. While waiting in line, take pictures with the figures positioned in the lobby and outside. Once inside, expect to run into movie stars, Bollywood stars, sports players, music legends and superheroes. As you move from room to room, strike a pose next each figure and snap away to capture the moment.

Also present is an awesome newsroom that lets you take a seat in front of the camera while (waxed) TV heavyweights like Oprah and Barbara Walters watch from the sidelines. Each category of celebs hang out in their corresponding themed room, so you too can walk the red carpet with Johnny Depp or chill on the field with Eli Manning. Feel like a piece of the action during the Marvel Superheroes Cinema 4D Experience, an immersive movie experience that puts you in the middle of a meeting at Stark Industries.

In reality, the celebrity figures you encounter aren’t too different from the real thing, because they too get their hair and make-up touched up for the public on a regular basis!

Buy your tickets online to save a few dollars. Adults are $27, kids are $21.75 and under 3 gets in free.
