You may have seen Neil Patrick Harris in the popular television show “How I Met Your Mother”, or the cult favorite “Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along”. Now, you can see him in a role like no other, as he performs in a limited engagement of Hedwig and the Angry Inch on Broadway! There’s less than a month to catch this over-the-top performance at the Belasco Theater, before Neil Patrick Harris takes his final bow and another actor takes his place.

Hedwig and the Angry Inch

A Glamorous Show

Tony and Emmy Award winner Neil Patrick Harris brings his outrageous style and pitch-perfect showmanship to the story of Hedwig, a transvestite singer who has fled East Berlin for the United States. In the wake of a heartbreak, she forms her band, the Angry Inch, and befriends a teen-aged singer named Tommy. As Tommy rockets to stardom, internationally ignored Hedwig must cope with living in the shadow of the star she helped create.

After August 17, Harris will leave the production. The part of Hedwig will be played by Andrew Rannells, who was nominated for his work in “The Book of Mormon”. He’s sure to shine in the role, as he previously took on the part in a production in Austin. If you’re a Neil Patrick Harris fan, however, you’ll want to be sure to grab tickets before he steps down.

Award-Winning Revival

Hedwig and the Angry Inch has garnered stellar reviews. It won four Tony awards, including Best Revival of a Musical, Best Actor in a Leading Role, and Best Actress in a Featured Role.
