Wouldn’t it be nice to have a day of fun under one roof with limited travel? We think so too. Chelsea Piers on Manhattan’s west side is an ideal winter destination when you don’t want to hassle schlepping all over the city for different activities.
Located on the west side from the Meatpacking District all the way up to 23rd Street, this enormous complex has it all! Ice-skating? Check. Golf? Check. Bowling? Check. And that’s only a few things! The view from Chelsea Piers is second to none because it’s vantage point on the water is absolutely fabulous.
The Field House, one of many buildings that make up Chelsea Piers, has batting cages to get your swing on, drop in soccer and basketball, as well as open youth and adult rock climbing. Need to stretch before you head onto the field? Take an open gymnastics class – that should do it!
Remember when we suggested taking your date bowling? Bowlmor has a huge location here too, so make a day of fun activities and then head to the lanes to kick back and relax with a drink and some food. Okay, and maybe an arcade game or two.
Come to think of it, you might not be able to do everything Chelsea Piers has to offer in only a day. Good thing kids 12 and under ride free through Memorial Day, as this could be a place you go to again and again. Seastreak is always here to make your trip a little easier.
