The ticket office in New Bedford hours of operation are Monday - Sunday from 6:00am – 6:30pm.
New Bedford Service operates Monday – Sunday from May 4 - October 14
Parking Information - Parking is available offsite at the Whale's Tooth Parking Lot. Shuttle service is provided by the Harbor Development Commission between the lot and pier. The charge for parking is $10 per calendar day. Annual parking passes are available for $500 at the Parking Lot's Ticket Booth. Monthly passes may also be purchased for $150. They accept cash and major credit cards.
Parking is conducted on the pier itself in the shoulder seasons: May 4th - May 24th, and October 1st - 14th.

From Boston and points North (all by limited access highway):
Take I-93 South. Highway forks; stay right. (Note: highway sign reads: "93 South, Dedham-Providence.")
Take Exit 4: Route 24 South. (Note: This is a left lane exit) Distance to next exit 24 Miles.
Take Exit 12: Route 140 South. Distance to next exit 19 miles.
Take Exit 2E/A: I-195 East towards Cape Cod. Distance to next exit 1.3 miles.
Take Exit 15: Route 18 South/Downtown New Bedford.
Follow construction detour signs to the waterfront/ferry.
From New York or points south:
Take I-95 North.
Take Exit 19: I-195 East towards Providence/Cape Cod.
Take Exit 15: Route 18 South/Downtown New Bedford.
Follow construction detour signs to the waterfront/ferry.
From Connecticut:
Take I-95 towards I-195.
Take Exit 19: I-195 East towards Cape Cod.
Take Exit 15: Route 18 South/Downtown New Bedford.
Follow construction detour signs to the waterfront/ferry.
From Cape Cod:
Take Route 6 West.
Take Route 25.
Take I-195 West.
Take Exit 15: Route 18 South/Downtown New Bedford.
Follow construction detour signs to the waterfront/ferry.
Once on the State Pier bear to your left and proceed up the ramp to the New Bedford Ferry Terminal. Ticket facility is located inside this terminal building.
